Tenuta del Conte was founded by Francesco Parilla in 1960. It is a boutique, family run winery located in Ciro' Marina in the region of Calabria, Italy's boot. Since the very beginning, the main goal of Tenuta del Conte has been to promote the quality of the mosto important native grape varieties from this area: Gaglioppo and Greco. For Francesco Parilla and his team working with these rare grape varieties is a great challenge and privilege. Knowledge, advanced skills and passion are all attributes that drive this small producer in his efforts to create outstanding wines. Tenuta del Conte combines innovative winemaking and native varietals, setting the benchmark for quality and style from Calabria.
Ciro' Rose' DOC
History:	Gaglioppo, the area's most important variety as it ripens early and is resistant to the region micro climate. Medium sized grapes are harvested and fermented at controlled temperatures.
Grape Varieties:	100% Gaglioppo.
Technical Characteristics:	Deep coral in colour, with delicate floral, fruity and spice bouquet.
Alcohol Content:	13.5%
Food Partner:	Best matched with cured meats and antipasti, grilled fish, white meats and spicy dishes.
Ciro' Red
History:	Cirò, is allegedly the descendant of the famous wine Cremissa, considered one of the oldest in the world. It is said that in ancient times, when this area was under Greek domination, it was offered to athletes who had won the Olympic Games.
Grape Varieties:	100% Gaglioppo.
Technical Characteristics:	Dark ruby red. A delightful bouquet of spices, dried fruit, wild berries and plums. The taste is dry, warm, vigorous, and long lasting.
Alcohol Content:	13.5%
Food Partner:	Best matched with roast goat or lamb, vegetables and mature cheeses.
