Cantine Di MarcoThe winery dates back to 1872 and is located in the beautiful Valle d’Itria, internationally known as “Valle dei Trulli” in the Martina Franca territory, an area dedicated to viticulture. In 1945, the founder, Cataldo Di Marco, acquired the abandoned estate with the aim of revitalizing the trade of local grapes . Today, the vineyards of Cantine Di Marco extend over 275 hectares and are run by Francesco Di Marco together with his son Aldo. Their focus is on indigenous varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and the less known Martina Franca. The result achieved by Cantine Di Marco, with the help of oenologist Martino Tagliente, is admirably represented by the quality of its wines using those grapes that were once considered modest and humbled. This has been possible with substantial investment and a sense of pride has brought international recognition.
